What to Expect Before, During, and After Your Photo Session


 

Before the session


The week we meet, you’ll receive a personalized email with all the details you need — including your session location, meeting point, and final reminders. If anything comes to mind beforehand, I’m always available to support you. Client care is at the heart of the Darcy Heard Photography experience.



During the session


Your session will feel relaxed, guided, and effortless. I will direct your poses, offer gentle adjustments, and ensure your hands, posture, and positioning are flattering and natural. Expect an uplifting, high-energy atmosphere — I love encouraging families and creating genuine, connected moments.


I take a wide range of images, including candid interactions that capture the heart and personality of your family. These in-between moments often become the most treasured.

after the session


Within 1–2 weeks, you’ll receive an online gallery filled with beautifully curated, high-resolution images. From there, you’re free to download and begin enjoying your artwork — a moment many families tell me is one of their favorite parts of the process.


You’ll also have the opportunity to select from a premium line of products, including fine art prints, announcements, cards, framed wall art, and other heirloom-quality pieces.
