Merry & Cozy: Christmas Pajama Minis | What to Wear & What to Expect
I have to admit, I really love a good Christmas pajama photo. There’s just something about little ones in pajamas that makes a Christmas photo feel a little more fun and a lot less formal. This year’s Merry & Cozy Christmas Pajama Minis were designed around that exact idea. cozy pajamas, a comfy daybed, Christmas morning vibes, and a setup that gives your kids plenty of room to just be themselves.
A Cozy Christmas Morning
For this year's setup, I wanted things to feel simple, cozy, and a little nostalgic. There’s a comfy daybed, Christmas pillows, a festive wreath, traditional red and green, and a few little details to make it feel like Christmas morning at home. There’s even a little pretend mug of hot cocoa for the kids!
The setup is intentionally on the smaller side, which means these sessions are best for little ones or smaller families. This set up is best for 1-3 people, maybe 4 if you don't mind snuggling and getting extra cozy. I think the smaller space makes the photos even better. Everyone is close, the kids have someone to snuggle with, and we can capture those little interactions.
What Should We Wear?
This one is easy. Wear pajamas! You don't need to overthink it.
I love classic Christmas pajamas for these sessions, especially plaid, red, green, cream, or a combination of those colors. You can have everyone in matching pajamas if that's your thing, but you definitely don't have to.
For example:
Red plaid + solid cream
Green plaid + red
A mix of red, green, and neutral pajamas
Matching pajamas for the kids while Mom and Dad wear coordinating loungewear.
